How can we help?
Buying and using guides
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Anyone can browse the marketplace, open guide details and explore the Gem Map. You need an account to save, buy, review and create.
What do I see before I buy?
The details page shows the description, the number of places, the area on the map, the creator's free preview places and reviews. Other places are shown only approximately until you buy.
When do I get access?
As soon as the payment is confirmed. You'll find the guide in Purchases and get a confirmation email. If a payment fails or is cancelled, you won't be charged and access isn't granted.
Can I use a guide offline or in Google Maps?
Each place has buttons to open it in Google Maps or Apple Maps. Guides you bought can also be downloaded as KML (for Google My Maps) or GPX, and itineraries can be printed or saved as PDF.
Can I get a refund?
Guides are digital content you get immediately, so at checkout you agree that the usual 14-day withdrawal right ends once access starts. If a guide is seriously wrong or not as described, contact us and we'll look into it.
Creating and selling
Who can create maps?
Everyone with an account. There's no separate creator account: the same account buys and sells.
Can I import my Google Maps lists?
Yes. Paste Google Maps place links (including short maps.app.goo.gl links), or upload a KML file exported from Google My Maps, or the Saved Places JSON or a list CSV from Google Takeout. Check and confirm every imported pin before publishing.
What do I need before publishing?
A title, destination, country, a description of at least 40 characters, a category, at least 5 places with confirmed pins, a confirmed email address, and for paid guides at least one free preview place and payouts set up.
What does it cost to sell?
Free guides cost nothing. For paid guides there is a commission per sale and a one-time listing fee. See pricing.
Can I change a published guide?
Yes. Edits appear straight away, and people who bought the guide see the new version. You can also unpublish or archive it; buyers keep access.
Earnings and payouts
How do I get paid?
Set up payouts on the Earnings page. You'll be taken to Stripe to add your bank details; Planitory never sees them. Request a payout once your available balance reaches the minimum.
Why are some earnings pending?
Earnings are held for 14 days after each sale, so refunds can be handled before money is paid out.
Account and privacy
I didn't get the confirmation email.
Check your spam folder, then use “Resend link” on your dashboard or in Profile & settings.
How do I delete my account?
In Profile & settings, under Delete account. Your personal data is removed; purchase records are kept for accounting without your details.
How do I report a guide or a creator?
Use the Report button on the guide page or the creator's profile. Our team reviews every report.
